Ikhlas was able to support a grant of 50,000Ksh to Pate Resource and Tourism Initiative (PRATI), which works to conserve the ecosytem in Pate and promote ecotourism in the heritage site. PRATI needed a boosting grant to help procure basic furniture and supplies to improve the facility and hire our services to cater to guest on their banda on stilts. The groups has been renovaating their banda for several months and raising funds to help them undertake ecotourism activities in the area.

Our support was possible through a donation of Royal Africa Safaris and technical support from Halal Safaris Africa to help build the capacity of the group on tourism, maerketing and hospitality needs.
